With a background in Silicon Valley tech research, she has led AI and strategic foresight projects at QuantumBlack and McKinsey. She holds non-executive roles across arts, emerging tech, and innovation, with senior-level experience in healthcare, aerospace, and smart cities. She holds degrees in Psychology, Computer Science, and Design.

Prior to serving as CFO of Imperial College for 10 years, Muir has spent 17 years at Booz working across a range of industries, notably financial services, the public sector and consumer goods; he was elected partner in 2001. He has held senior leadership roles within Booz being elected UK Managing Partner from 2007 – 2010, and serving as a key member of the team which created Booz & Company in 2008 as a world-leading global management consulting firm.

Professor Charles Coombes
Professor of Medical Oncology at Imperial College London and Hon Consultant Medical Oncologist at Imperial College Healthcare Trust. From October 2010 Professor Coombes is Director of The Imperial CRUK Cancer Centre. He is also Chair of The Imperial Cancer Research (UK) Centre Steering Committee and Theme leader for Cancer, Imperial College London.

He is a senior lecturer in the Department of Bioengineering. His research group uses lab-on-chip microdevices to important problems in cancer metastasis. Prior to Imperial, Sam was a Tosteson Postdoctoral Fellow in the lab of Professor Mehmet Toner at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital.
